Mendin explains, “As we bring our new team together, we are looking for individuals that share our love of food, the ocean, and hospitality as an art form. To achieve the atmosphere that we all envision for Rivertail, it is extremely important to tap into the most exciting talent that Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas has to offer.”

Mendin’s first seafood-driven Broward location will feature coastal comfort cuisine, fresh from Florida produce, and sustainable ocean to table specialities with a locally inspired, distinctly waterfront, design to match.
Conceptualized by award-winning designer, Callin Fortis of Big Time Design Studios, Rivertail will be “an uptake on the classic waterfront restaurant. Using
mixed with teal and natural wood tones, combined with eclectic furnishings that represent the
bright hues of washed yellows
heritage of the cuisine, we have created a design that is lively and spirited with a modern, yet
rustic, twist.”

Forits goes on to say, “The design concept really started from the old adage, Location, Location, Location. Because this landmark spot is located right on the river, the cues began there. A nod to the waterfront and fishing fare can be found in the netting cues, subtly repurposed fish shack planks, and inside out sliding glass wall that allows seamless flow from the patio to the dining room and bar.”

Rivertail, along with their sister concept, The Wharf Fort Lauderdale will bring close to 200 new jobs to downtown Fort Lauderdale signaling a positive shift in the ongoing revival of the Las Olas Riverfront district.

Job Fairs are scheduled for Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th from 11am to 3pm and 4pm to 7pm at the Riverside Hotel’s Rooftop Conference Room located at 620 East Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Rivertail will hire Front and Back of House positions including Managers, Servers, Bartenders, Expeditors, Food Runners, Bussboys, Chefs, Food Prep Staff, and Dishwashers.
